It went off so smooth, we never realized when it was over; thanks to all the participants, volunteers and spectators which made the event. With an addition of Olympic Distance and moving the Triathlon to Open Waters to outskirts of the city, we were little apprehensive about the participation as many had fear of Open waters, few had apprehensions about cleanliness of water etc etc, but having tested the water and arranging for Practice Swim a week earlier removed all apprehensions and to our surprise it became an International Event. We had participants from Scotland, Germany, Italy, Russia, Canada, Israel and others apart from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Satara, Bangalore and many other places across India.
Event had three categories for Men and Women – Olympic Distance, Sprint and Novice. Youngest participant was 11 years old – Master Rohit Dewal, who cut the cake at the Finish line to celebrate the event.
Though the route for cycling and Running went through hills and made it a tough course, testing everyone’s endurance; everyone enjoyed the ride and had satisfaction on their faces at the Finish.
Potential always existed here but for the platform and opportunity. We look forward to take participants to new heights when it comes to next event… Await announcement !

It surprised me when I was reading about the Triathletes; they say average age of a Triathlete who participates for an Ironman race is 40! Can you believe this!
What does it mean; if translated otherwise – it means – As one gets older it makes us more tough.
It’s all Mental nothing Physical about it!
So don’t allow the thought of aging set in your mind; feel younger and go for it!!

Got busy on Sat – Sun at Outdoors – Fun and Frolic – little trek and Outdoor Fitness Camp – returned few hours back.. Get ready for Monday…
Here comes Monday Workout –
Jog 1 km
Warm –up – Stretching – 10 mins
Endurance run – 4.30 mins – Run with long strides – try and maintain same speed although –
Break 1 min and repeat 5 sets to begin with;
Stretching – 3 mins
Push –ups – 20 – 3 sets — with clapping if possible or else just normal Push-ups
Twisting to sides and passing the medicine ball – 20 reps – with sit-ups – 3 sets of 20 alternately.
Pull –ups –Max you can do – 3 sets
Leg raises 20 reps – 3 sets
Jog / Walk 1 Km
Cooling down stretches 15 Mins
And enjoy your day…
Time to Enjoy is Now!
I was wondering other day as to what are those ingredients; those need inclusion in a structure that I need to follow over a week, which will provide for entire gamut of fitness. Thought of taking out one hour on Sunday – getting up leisurely and going over the needs of the body, it flowed as follows:
Tranquility of mind
There may be more to it; but thought of penning down as it came by and keep adding to it.
Then came the question; how do I fit in all this in a weeks schedule. Do I take them day by day spreading over a week or do I need to fit in two in a day working it out alternate days or do I address two a week and make it a month long schedule.. Another thought popped up, which said buddy you need to workout twice a day!! Can I take out that kind of time; or does my game / sport need all this or can I omit anything from it.
No. of options started ticking, and kept wondering what could be the best combination or structure and getting further confused…..
But then I thought of taking head-on each item a day (irrespective of Saturday or Sunday or Holiday) and then decide about other questions over next weekend. And somehow it worked so well that I have been able to keep up to the schedule incorporating all these above aspect in fitness and keep ticking and keep kicking alive as they say these days!!
Of course other aspects connected to it do need to be taken cognizance of, such as Nutrition etc.., will talk about them some time later; as I believe every culture and place has its diet for its own environment, and one should not disturb it..
Friends, may I request your suggestions or comments, to add to your own workout
